This lamp is inspired by the quiet stories held in mountains. The way high places have always been seen as spaces of silence, inwardness, and gentle transformation. In so many old traditions, people went to the mountains not to escape the world, but to hear themselves more clearly. The noise falls away, the air thins, and what’s left is a kind of spacious honesty.
I painted this lamp with that feeling in mind. The soft, layered landscape fades upward into light, like a horizon you meet slowly, step by step. When lit, it glows warm and subdued, echoing the stillness of early morning on a ridge or the steady calm of dusk settling over distant peaks.
It’s meant to feel like a quiet place you can return to, a small, glowing reminder of the clarity that comes when the world hushes and you finally meet yourself.
