Original Artwork by Miranda Seim

  • Linen Lamp, wooden base (9" tall x 5"wide)
  • Hand dyed and painted
  • Light bulb included

This lamp was painted with the feeling of stepping into a quiet, remote landscape, the kind of place where the world softens and you finally hear your own breath again. In folklore, mountains and high ridges are often seen as spaces of inwardness, where silence isn’t empty but alive, a gentle presence that holds whatever you bring to it. People go to these places to listen, to shed noise, to meet the parts of themselves that only appear when everything else falls away.

The muted tones and hand painted contours of this mountain range are meant to evoke that stillness: a horizon that doesn’t rush, a landscape that simply exists and invites you to exist alongside it. When the lamp is lit, the mountains glow from within, echoing the quiet clarity that comes when light meets solitude.

It’s a small reminder of what remote spaces teach us, that silence can be a guide, and that sometimes the most meaningful encounters happen when you’re alone with the land, meeting yourself gently in its presence.
