The Art Update Week 9

Over the weekend I attended a three-day conference out of town and made very cool business cards for the "networking" of it all. I even rush-ordered them, only to completely forget that we live in the age of technology and didn't hand out a single one. (We all just follow each other on Instagram now, honestly much more cost efficient). So, if you see me at an art market this summer, come to my booth and take a card! I'll even write you a little note for fun! 

The conference was wonderful. It was so inspiring hearing women I've grown with in this art community give talks on their craft, their business, and teach skills to both new and experienced creatives. Work in Progress

My work-in-progress piece isn't moving quickly, but I'm loving it. This week the room gained windows, a couch, and the beginning of some very groovy chairs. The theme for the windows is "so big you could get a sunburn sitting inside."

I've ultimately scrapped the first rug and will show the new one next week. The pieces are all coming together, and I'm excited to see how the whole painting turns out.

Market Update

My first market of the summer is June 12th, it seems crazy how fast it's approaching! I'm heading to my local print shop today to approve print proofs, confirm order sizes, and retrieve my originals.

Prints

This means my online print shop will be opening in the next few weeks! Collectors can begin collecting again, and I'm starting with a pre-order for email subscribers so you're guaranteed the print you want.
